quickGreen assists with the calculation of intergreens by carrying out the repetitive conflict distance measuring work which is time consuming for a person to do but is easy for a computer.
As well as speeding up the process of calculating intergreens it also reduces the likelihood of measurement or arithmetic errors, makes it very easy to check the intergreens and provides a convenient way of archiving the intergreens and the process by which they were calculated.
Key Features
An image of the junction can be imported into quickGreen from a variety of sources, taking images from the clipboard, local files, and providing a screen capture facility.
This can then be calibrated against a known length (scale on map, known road measurement, etc) and used to place the lane geometry.
Marking lanes on the junction geometry is as easy as pressing a button and dragging the lane into place. It's then a few clicks to specify the expected turning movement paths between those lanes.
Pedestrian crossings can be placed and their shape adjusted to any quadrilateral to make it easy to handle atypical kerb shapes.
As you build and edit your model, quickGreen will automatically locate conflict points and determine the critical conflict points for each intersection, resulting in accurate X distances, and accurate intergreens
Phases can be specified to group together lanes controlled by the same phase, which is then put to use generating a complete Phase Integreen Matrix using the lookup table specified in the UK Traffic Signs Manual, Chapter 6.
If the modeller desires it, these intergreens can be overridden or offset, and notes can be added to explain the reasoning behind the change.
This intergreen matrix can then be exported to LinSig or other signal design software with a single click.
Traffic - Pedestrian and Pedestrian - Traffic conflict distances are also calculated, making it easy to verify that everything that has been specified to produce the final intergreen matrix is satisfactory.
A detailed PDF report showing the junction, as well as any parts of the provided or calculated data the user desires to include can be generated at any time.

An annual quickGreen 2 subscription costs £150 + VAT. This includes the use of the software and includes software support.
Where an organisation has multiple quickGreen 2 Licences, the following discounts apply:

Please note:
- Discounted Licences must all be used by employees of the organisation purchasing the licences.
- Each quickGreen 2 Licence is allocated to an individual computer. Licences can be permanently moved between computers, but this is only permitted for infrequent events such as an employee leaving or their role changing. Licences cannot be frequently moved between computers to give the effect of a floating licence.
- Licences cannot be used in any kind of virtualised environment in any way that allows a licence to float between multiple computers.
Subscription Renewal
Unless cancelled subscriptions will automatically renew each year on the anniversary of the initial subscription. Where additional licences are ordered during the subscription year these will be co-termed to end on the subscription anniversary.
If desired, the renewal anniversary can be set to coincide with renewal of other JCT Consultancy Software such as LinSig. You will be contacted prior to renewal each year to remind you of your right to cancel your subscription.
